 Dear Supporter, 

We are reaching out from Impact Neighborhood Services, a Canadian charitable organization ( Charity Registration No.  768218554 RR0001) dedicated to supporting our community's most vulnerable members. We are in the crucial stages of establishing a new food bank facility near the intersection of Markham Road and Eglinton Ave E, strategically located to serve the Scarborough Central, Scarborough Southwest, and Scarborough-Guildwood wards.

 Why We Need Your Support:
Currently, we lack the proper storage facilities to efficiently store, sort, and distribute food items. This limitation prevents us from collecting valuable food donations from our supporters, which is critical to our mission. By establishing this new facility, we will be able to properly handle and distribute food, significantly enhancing our ability to serve those in need. 

Our Goal:
We aim to raise $50,000 to create a center that provides essential food assistance to those struggling with food insecurity. This facility will address the immediate needs of our community and ensure no one faces hunger alone.

Community Needs:

• Homelessness: 15% increase in Scarborough’s homeless population over the past three years.
• Food Insecurity: 12% of households in Scarborough experience food insecurity.
• Poverty: 21% of Scarborough residents live below the Low Income Measure.
• Immigrant Population: Nearly 50% of residents face economic and language barriers.
• Health Needs: 30% suffer from chronic health conditions, and 20% experience mental health issues.

Budget:
Your support will cover:

1. Rented Space: Centrally located, at least 500 square feet.
2. Initial Setup Costs: Renovations, furniture, equipment, and initial inventory.
3. Operational Costs: Utilities and insurance.
